On the other hand, avenit integrates existing data bases and software with an internet-oriented system so that they can be used fast and smoothly in networks. Avenit´s experiences with medium-sized companies have influenced our progress as full-service internet-provider considerably. Presently, we develop our know-how in close co-operation with research.

Avenit is as young as the medium. The average age of the board of managers is under 26 years and its members have proved their entrepreneurial abilities and their competence in four successful "avenit inc." years. From the beginning, the company has profited from the internet boom and has established itself where many others had to give up. This is not a coincidence. As children of the digital age, the founders and managers of avenit inc. have grown up with computers and developed, like many of their generation, and interest for the world behind colourful interfaces. At the same time they gained business experience in the emerging region Baden in the south of Germany.

Christian Seifert, today executive chairman of avenit inc., lead his first company at the age of 18. The other members of the board of managers had also gathered their first business experiences at a fairly young age. Thus the young fathers of avenit inc. learnt about the digital world from the inside perspective of a middle-sized company. They learnt to recognize the specific needs of middle-sized companies and most of all about their chances. But experiences must be matched by the requirements that come with globalization and avenit is as international as the medium internet - as a matter of principle. avenit inc. co-operates closely with American and Asian partners in developing business and web solutions. We co-operate with high-tech providers on three continents to bring together the know-how of different business cultures. avenit´s international scope and its success have formed our company culture. Part of our staff works in China. This benefits not only the company but also our customers who get world-wide competitive ability inclusive. The German chancellor, too, appreciated an international appearance when he was welcomed in Shanghai with a presentation film by avenit in 1999.
